Tour description:
Sunrises are the best time of the day, especially for photography. Riding to the top of Mount Krom – you’ll see all the way from the lakes in the south and Siem Reap to the north all bathed with the glistening colors from the rising sun in the east. Our guide will be pointing out what to see from up there, bring your good camera or binoculars, as much as the local breakfast and boat ride in Floating Village.

Tour itinerary:
(Pick-up time is flexible; suggest starting the tour at 5 am). Our guide and scooter driver will pick you up from the hotel in Siem Reap and be driven by motorbike to Phnom Krom (Mount Krom), taken up to the top for the best spots to view and photo the sunrise. You can learn about the lives of people living in villages and Tonle Sap Lake (that you can see below), how they live, how they make income from fishing, making Prohok (fish paste), and crocodile farming. After sunrise, our driver ride you back down the hill to have local breakfast (stream rice with deep-fried chicken or noodle soup with pork) and a cup of coffee. Continue to ride the boat pier of the Tonle Sap Lake and board a local boat for a 1.5-hour ride on the Tonle Sap Lake (the best times are from July to February), also known as the Great Lake of Cambodia. Find out how communities live and work on the lake; see the floating schools, markets, and police stations, among others; observe their daily lives. Drive back to Siem Reap.
